Top Note Treat Bags

I hope all of you enjoy this fun treat bag using the Top Note Bigz Die (113463) from Stampin’ Up!  I have found this die to be extremely versatile.  Use the complete shape or just a partial  edge make a fun embellishment on projects.

I really like to use the Texture Impressions Embossing Folders on the front of my bags.  I chose the Spider Web (120889) design  on Page 6 of the Holiday Mini Catalog for this project.

The color combinations I used on these sample are:  Night of Navy/Tangerine Tango/Peach Parfait and Rich Razzleberry/Old Olive/Basic Black

I adhered all the card stock with Sticky Strip (104294) so it would hold up to heavy use.  I suggest using this adhesive for projects that need to hold their shape.

On the Night of Navy card stock I used Whisper White Craft Ink (101731) to highlight the embossed spider web.  I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White (100730) card stock .  The SPOOKY image comes from the stamp set Wicked Cool (118738 Wood-Mount/120600 Clear-Mount).  Punch out the image with the Large Oval Punch (119855) and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).  I added some clear rhinestones onto the “O’s” for a fun effect.

Any Halloween treat would look great in these bags.  They are the perfect size to fill small to medium size Flat Cellophane Bags (small 103104/medium 102757) with bright hard candies and tie closed with a ribbon or twine or just pop in a fun candy bar or two without the bag!

The handle images have been inked with Basic Black or Night of Navy Classic Ink and the Stampin’ Around Standard Wheel-Arachnophobia (retired).  I added Glimmer Brads (Basics 121003/Brights 121006) to attach the handles to the box sides.   Just poke holes through the card stock using the Paper Piercing Tool (116631) and feed the brad legs through to the inside.  This is a very simple treat box/bag to make.  I hope you try them for yourself!
