It’s been a while since I have blogged! Shame on me but I also do gourd crafting and it’s a crazy time of year here at my home 🙂
For this week’s Pals Paper Arts project I decided to use my favorite Crumb Cake card stock. I truly enjoy the rustic feel and look of this color and of course it works perfectly with the fall season. I hope you enjoy my set of Thank You cards. I used a fun scoring technique on the front and I think it added a nice elegant touch to a simple design.
I made a set of 4 mini note cards measuring 3″ x 6″ (scored and folded @ 3″). I used the heart image from the Stampin’ Up! clear mount stamp set titled Paisley Prints. I used the smaller heart image from the same set for a touch on the Square Whisper White Mini Envelopes too!
The heart-shaped clear button is from the Bitty Buttons Stampin’ Up! set and threaded a thin piece of Crumb Cake card stock through the holes. To secure it to the front of the note card I just added a mini glue dot.
The sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink from the Sweetheart stamp set. The heart images have Really Rust and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink. It’s a fun way to take an image that really reminds you of Valentine’s day or love themed projects and make it a fall theme. I hope you will give them a try!
Hopefully I won’t have such a long lull between my posts next time but just in case here is a sample of the gourds I make 🙂
They light up with a flickering candle bulb too!
What a sweet set of note cards and the heart button couldn’t be more perfect! Thanks for joining us at PPA!
