Don’t you just love this inspiration photo for this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge. This week was a definite personal challenge for me since I did not have a speck of “lace” in my stash!!! I used the PPA tip for using pierced paper instead.
I love this color combination….Whisper White, Basic Black and Real Red.
I used the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set (#117010 wood mount/#118571 clear mount) for this card. This set offers 8 beautiful heart designs which also can be used with the Stampin’ Up! heart punches; Heart Small (#117193), Full Heart Extra Large (#119883) and Heart to Heart Extra Large (#119881).
I trimmed around the edge of a 5″ diameter lace doily to create the bottom lace effect for my card. Run a strip of SNAIL adhesive onto the base card and then press the doily along the edge. It will naturally ripple like a piece of gathered lace! It makes a beautiful effect. I hope you try it on your next card or scrapbook layout.
Love how the lace is peeking out of the bottom like a slip! So cute!
Beautiful! I love the DSP! Thanks for the tip about the lace doily! And thanks for playing at Pals Paper Arts!
Love that you used a doily!! That was my original thought for this challenge as well!!! Great looking card!! Thanks for joining us at Pals Paper Arts!!
