What a scrumptious color combo this week! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the card stock when Pals Paper Arts posted this weeks color challenge. These are three of my favorite Stampin’ Up! colors this year. I don’t think you can go wrong using any of these colors when designing cards, scrapbook layouts or altered items. They work together beautifully!!!
This is my 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ square card for this week. I used the yummy Perfect Plum textured card stock from Stampin’ Up! for the card base and worked up from there.
I really like the assortment of patterns in the Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack. The polka dot pattern on this design is in Baja Breeze from the Subtles Collection. So pretty!
I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch for the edge. Layering it on top of Pear Pizzazz smooth card stock stamped with the gorgeous Bella Toile background stamp in Whisper White craft ink make the look so elegant.
I love making these flower embellishments!. They are super fast and very complimentary to any design. I added a small flower button, in Perfect Plum, for the center. A touch of white crochet cotton wound around the scallop circle and then threaded through the holes in the button completes the look. I also added a large clear rhinestone jewel over the thread.
TIP: The 5mm rhinestone jewel will nestle neatly in the center. What a perfect fit! Thanks Stampin’ Up!
