There is something special about the elegance of a gate fold card. They are so simple to make but they look as if they took quite a long time to finish. The colors on today’s card are all from Stampin’ Up! They are Pacific Point, Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi.
Measurements for this card are:
*4-1/4″ x 10-3/4″ card base (scored and folded at 2-5/8″ from each end)
*Place the longest edge horizontally when scoring.
*2 pieces: 4″ x 2-1/2″ Whisper White
*2 pieces: 3-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ Designer Series Paper
*1 piece: 3-7/8″ x 5″ Whisper White (inside)
*1 piece: 1″ x 9″ for card band
*2-3/8″ scallop circle
*Satin Ribbon
*1/4″ strip of Designer Series Paper
*Sentiment image matted with designer series paper.
Assemble the card band and attach the center flower embellishment.
For the mat behind the center embellishment I added some simple lines and dots with a Stampin’ Marker. For this card I used Pacific Point ink on the Marina Mist punched scallop circle.
This is how I made the center flower. I stamped the whimsical floral image using Black StazOn ink. I watercolored the images and added clear glitter to the flower center. Punch the completed image out with a 1-3/4″ circle punch and adhere onto the scallop circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The inside has complimentary images and a sentiment.
I also embellished the envelope front and watercolored it to match.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed today’s design 🙂
