Well I have to admit that I am now officially sick of winter. We, here in Michigan, have gotten hit quite seriously with snow this year. It’s like the old days! I know many other states are also suffering so I definitely sympathize. To cheer all of us up, I decided to make a few paper flowers. Flowers are my favorite thing to make out of paper.
To make this style flower I popped onto my Silhouette and designed two sizes of petal layers. Each flower has 1 large bottom petal layer, 1 medium petal layer (1/2″ smaller than the bottom size) and then 5 mini centers layered into a frilly center. I also punched out a sepal from green card stock to complete the look. I really like to see how the flower starts to look real once the layers are assembled. Now I just wished they smelled as pretty as they look!
Sets of these flowers are available on my Etsy Shop here.
These are the pink flowers I made. I used a 65 lb. white card stock and then my dye ink. The centers are patterned paper.
Have a super weekend everyone!
