Today I am sharing my completed September 2015 Monthly page layout from my Erin Condren LifePlanner. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the color theme this month. It makes me so happy!
I was taking a stroll through my backyard the other day and saw all the amazing butterflies all over my purple Butterfly bushes and I knew right then and there that I needed to make “Butterflies” my September theme.
I like to set up my supplies first before I begin to decorate my pages. I found some discontinued Stampin’ Up! Designer Paper from the Regals Collection and of course I needed to use my butterfly stamps and punch! This purple is almost a perfect match 🙂
I have decided to keep my monthly layout as simple as possible. I try to leave the date area pretty basic and add my embellishments and color around the outside edges. I prefer to still read my calendar days or I won’t focus and that is the whole point of this planner for me. I can get a little crazy in the design process and not know when to stop so I need to back off a bit. I’m sure you know what I mean. One idea leads to another and another and then you step back and go WOAH, where are my dates???
This is the “Goals” area located on the right hand page of the two page monthly format. I wanted to add some of my fall To-Do’s related to my garden in this area. I have been pretty bad in the past two years about being on top of prepping my perennials for the winter. I like a clean neat area before that blanket of Michigan winter snow falls. If I slack on that clean-up, I just have so much more to do in the Spring. Not a big fan of that extra work!
My husband and I are so excited to be watching our little Jack Russel Terrier Grand-dog next month. Of course I had to cutsie those dates up a bit. I added the daisy flower on top of the dog face because her name is Daisy.
I am trying to make a corresponding paperclip for each month also. I’m not sure if the planner will get too bulky later on if I keep doing one each month so I may have to skip a few. We will see. I’m still learning about this planner. I did purchase the 18-month option so I have a feeling the coils may need to be larger if I add too much.
My intent is to not tear anything out. I would like to leave these planners for my family members as a memorabilia journal regarding my life, personal ideas and thoughts, as well as, my handwriting. Maybe there will be a different size coil option in the near future so I can keep this all contained as intended.
If you are interested in my process for this month’s layout you can view my video below. I did receive many requests to do a slower step-by-step process so this is what I have done for everyone this month. It is a bit long but I want to please my viewers. I hope I succeeded 🙂
