It’s planner time again!
Today I am decorating a week in the January daily pages. I have two of the same planners because my first shipment had a few binding mistakes in it . Erin Condren didn’t want me to return it, they just sent me another one free of charge. Great customer service! I kept the incorrect planner to use for my craft business. This is how I stay focused on when to film, edit and upload my YouTube videos, write blogs and schedule craft time for upcoming projects for my Etsy shop.
I created the image below to help me with the titled calendar areas. I like to section off my days into three areas: Video, Social Media and Projects. I did my best to match the colors. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty close I think.
Here are a few spotlight pictures of my process for decorating and organizing one of January’s work weeks. I love using these labels. I bought a package of Matte Sticker Paper from Amazon and printed the image onto the label paper using high image resolution. I cut each label out using my craft knife and ruler but scissors or a paper cutter would work perfectly well. You can also use an electronic cutter if you choose.
I printed out my January labels plus a cute image complimentary of VintageGlam Studio. There are great color options and a variety of options with her designs. Check her out here. Her designs are for personal use only 🙂
Feel free to use my label images for scheduling your crafting days also. Just save the image onto your computer and print away. You can also convert this image into a JPG using an online image converter like this. I’m still working on playing around with my Silhouette’s cutting options so I just manually cut them out at this point.
I will continue to add additional months (earlier) so you can get ahead of the planning. I just came up this idea a couple of days ago to get myself more focused! I also will be posting a time lapse video of a more detailed view of decorating this layout later this week. If you want to catch that “PLAN on it!” video, please go to my YouTube Channel here and subscribe so you don’t miss it.
Happy Planning 🙂
Welcome to the New Year! I hope you had many wonderful moments with family and friends throughout all the holidays that you and yours celebrated in 2015. I also hope you are documenting those memories plus including some of the new ones already from this year 🙂
I plan on sharing my experiences throughout the weeks and months of 2016. I’d like to share with you some, if not all, of my personal struggles too. No, this won’t be depressing LOL….it’s just another step in the process of allowing you to learn a bit more about me.
As a crafter, I have been noticing over the past few years that I don’t lift my head out of the scrapbook papers and inks long enough to take care of ME! What do I mean? Well, I mean that I truly don’t take time to eat correctly or even drink enough proper water. I have been skipping meals, especially breakfast. This is a big NO NO. This isn’t a New Year’s resolution either. I made this decision in November of last year. I also need to do a little bit more with my beauty routine as well. As crafters, we usually have our face pointed downward and that isn’t helping THIS old gals wrinkles by any means! I have noticed a huge difference in some serious sagging since I turned 60. I think it’s time for some of those facial exercises and moisturizers. I probably should have done this in my 40’s but better late than never right?
This years blogging will be highlight crafting as my number one subject of course but I am also planning on showing you how I am incorporating some new healthy living too. When my puppies became so ill last year, I began learning tons about supplementing holistic approaches to my already conventional treatments. With the assistance of my Integrative Veterinarian, I added many essential oils to help my German Shorthaired Pointer, Gretchen, deal with some severe immune system compromises. I also changed her diet to a more whole foods non-GMO diet. During her healing progress I realized….Why the heck am I not doing this for my husband and me as well?!? So, my adventure began.
Enough of my rambling. I just wanted to stop in and let you know I will be sharing some of those experiences with you as well as crafting this year. I hope you will feel comfortable to share what you may be going through as well. I truly believe we all can help each other out by sharing our experiences. Who doesn’t need some crafter’s therapy right?
So onto the craft subject of the day…..TODO. I began playing around with this machine after Christmas. I just couldn’t fit it in before that. Once I set it up I just HAD to begin with the hot foiling option on this machine. I had some ups and downs but I am feeling a bit more comfortable with it now. Here is a video sharing some of my experiences with it. I hope you enjoy it.
